New Mexico Office
New Mexico’s WRA office brings with it over 50 years of experience in electric utility regulation. Our New Mexico staff works with policymakers and advocacy groups, and appears before commissions, the legislature and courts, to advance the development of clean electric energy in the State and region. The focus of WRA’s work is to advocate for laws, rules, regulations and policies that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency. WRA’s New Mexico office has also worked toward the advancement of greenhouse gas regulation in New Mexico and the region. In recent years, working with other advocates, WRA has seen passage and adoption of energy efficiency and renewable energy laws and regulations in the State, resulting in a substantial increase in the use of those resources.
