WRA's Nevada Office mourns the loss of Charles Benjamin, our Office Director, who died December 13, 2010 after a valiant battle with cancer. He was 60 years old. Click here to read about Charles' life and accomplishments.
WRA’s Nevada office promotes clean energy development and strives to reduce the environmental impacts of electricity production in the state. We advocate for clean energy investments in policy forums such as the Public Utilities Commission, the state legislature, and the Nevada Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Task Force. WRA also works in Nevada to promote urban water conservation. We encourage local environmental and public interest groups to become more engaged on conservation issues and help coordinate efforts among these groups. We have helped stop planned coal-fired power plants, and we have worked with partners to produce a report on water conservation.
