Celebrate Earth Month with Western Resource Advocates and Aveda Corporation!

Western Resource Advocates is proud to announce its partnership with the Aveda Corporation for a second year in a row! 
 As part of the Aveda Earth Month campaign, salons and spas will host a series of benefit events in March and April for Western Resource Advocates. The goal is to raise funds to help ensure that all people have safe, reliable, and sustainable sources of water.
WRA’s water programs focus on meeting human water needs while also protecting the West’s rivers, lakes, and aquifers. Finding this balance is especially challenging and important in the arid southwest where population is rapidly increasing. WRA works in some of the fastest-growing cities to help planners develop and implement conservation programs that range from sustainable landscaping guidelines to rebates on water-saving appliances.
Aveda salons across the region are hosting exciting events, including green parties, silent auctions, cut-a-thons, and garage sales. A calendar of Earth Month events is coming soon!

Enter to Win a 2008 Prius!

The Aveda Corporation has chosen WRA as a regional recipient of their Earth Month fundraising activities for a second year in a row! This year, TEN Aveda Salon and Spa in Loveland and The Aveda Institute of Denver are sponsoring a raffle of a brand new 2008 Toyota Prius.  All proceeds from ticket sales will support WRA’s Colorado water conservation and river restoration programs.

WRA needs to sell as many raffle tickets as we can, and we need your help! 

Tickets, available now, are $10 each and can be bought in any quantity.  Buy raffle tickets for yourself or give them to your friends and relatives as gifts!

Here’s what you need to know:

• The prize is a new 2008 Prius. Silver exterior. Gray interior.
• You must be 18 or older to buy a ticket.
• You must pay in cash or with a check for your raffle tickets: no credit cards are accepted.
• You can purchase tickets as a gift for someone else.
• The last day to purchase raffle tickets is May 14.
• The winner will be selected on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at 8pm at TEN Salon and Spa during a soiree.  Winner need not be present to win, and will be notified by phone immediately.
• All applicable fees and taxes will be the responsibility of the winner.
• Ticket purchases are not tax deductible
