Western Resource Advocates (WRA) is committed to respecting your privacy. We have implemented the following policy, which applies to our web site (the “Site”) and across our organization.
All information supplied to WRA by donors and subscribers to electronic and mail communications will never be sold, rented, or leased to other organizations. We use an industry-standard service to process payments and keep your information secure.
Information We Collect
If you donate, subscribe to electronic communications, or sign a petition, we may collect your name, address, email address, and/or phone number and store this information in our secure database. WRA only collects this information for the purpose of furthering our mission.
Because we use a secure, third-party processing services to process payment information, we do not access or store your credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other data.
How Information is Used
Subscribers
We track survey responses and open rates, click-through rates, and unsubscribe rates of our email communications in order to better understand what topics our supporters are interested in and how we can improve our engagement strategies.
Donor Information
We use contact information supplied by donors to acknowledge the donation and send receipts. We also report relevant information to government agencies in order to comply with laws and regulations. These reports are not made public.
Online Advocacy
If you sign a petition that we deliver to decision-makers, or that sends a message directly to decision-makers, you may be required to identify yourself by name, address, email address, and/or other personal information. WRA includes this information when your message is sent or when the petition is delivered. Many government officials require this information, and it is also important for effective advocacy. Please note that some federal agencies make comments available to the public, along with the full name and address of the person who sent the comments.
Cookies
We may use cookies to pre-populate forms and to track how users interact with our web site. You can at any time delete cookies on your device or change the settings on your web browser to prevent cookies from being used.
Sharing with Mission-Aligned Partner Groups and Opt-Out of Sharing option
We may at times share your information with WRA partners who align with our mission so that they may reach out to you about their work that may be of interest to you. You are welcome to email us at info@westernresources.org with any questions or to opt-out of this sharing.
Opting Out or Removing Your Name From Our Lists
You may at any time opt-out of WRA communications or request to be removed from our database. Please use the Unsubscribe link within our emails to opt out of electronic communications. Please contact us via email at info@westernresources.org or phone at 303-444-1188 to be removed from our postal mailing list, or if you have any questions about your information and this Privacy Policy.
WRA Staff and Vendors
WRA employees who violate our privacy access policies may be subject to disciplinary actions, which may include termination. WRA vendors who violate WRA’s privacy policy will have their contracts terminated.
